We always thought the zombie apocalypse would be the end of human civilization on Earth. We never considered what would happen if the infestation hit after humanity had already colonized the stars.
Purge Protocol takes place in that universe. Humanity has colonies across the solar system and out into the galaxy. And then it happened. The zombie infestation spread to all of it.
You play Kestra. She’s aboard her starship running the drill, because those colonies are still down there and someone has to go clear them. You’re just behind her shoulder. They give you a little room at first. They don’t keep that up.
What you do
You kill them the only way zombies can truly die. Destroy the brain. A shot through the head or smash in the skull. Hit them anywhere else and they get damaged but they never die.
Use Focus Aim to surgically target their head or other body parts. You can dismember them but they will keep coming.
Most of them are just standing there until something wakes them up. If one sees you then it will trigger nearby zombies to chase after you. The more noise you make the more of them will look for you.
When the horde is just too big the only option is to run and hide and hope you can lose them.
